"Anne and I just wanted to say thank you again. The sunset kayak trip was the highlight of our trip to New Brunswick. We were happy that we got to see the eagles, harbor porpoise and seals and the scenery too. That the other two couples were so nice added to our experience and we look forward to them e-mailing the pictures to us.

Once again, thank you for a wonderful experience and you can rest assured that I will be letting some friends who kayak know about Seascape Kayak Tours."

"Paddling the Baja coast is a 'must-do' trip for any kayaker, however being able to travel through the area with our Seascape friends greatly enriched the adventure. Once again, Seascape's focus on creating an experience that immerses their clients in the wonders of an area's spectacular natural environment and complex cultural communities formed the core elements of the first SeaStar trip. Challenging 'push' days were mixed appropriately with 'lighter' days that allowed for exploration and relaxation. The Seascape guides were superb, the food plentiful and nutritious, and the paddling locale was awe-inspiring! Looking forward to the next SeaStar adventure!"

I’ve returned from the Jan ’10 KaYoga trip a couple of days ago and still can’t stop thinking about it.

Combining kayaking and yoga is brilliant. The two practices build on each other philosophically, making the whole experience richer than the sum of its parts. And there is a more earthly benefit, too: Because of the yoga, I felt no pain or stiffness at all from the paddling.

Bruce is an extraordinarily knowledgeable and devoted instructor and guide. His deep love of the sea—and of the natural world in general—is infectious. And he is the most patient teacher I have ever met, answering the same questions over and over, never exhibiting even a hint of annoyance. He pays close attention to each individual and his/her needs, which made us all, regardless of our level of experience or ability, feel comfortable and relaxed on the water and on land from beginning to end. He’s also a terrific cook!

Lauri’s yoga instruction is warm and supportive. She also pays an extraordinary amount of attention to each individual, tailoring every pose to each person’s needs and abilities. But her caring doesn’t end when the yoga practice closes. She’s always watching, always caring, always supporting. Ahhh. “It’s all good,” she says. And it really is.

Logistically, every step of the trip was beautifully executed. All the connections were flawless, and every single person we dealt with was friendly, professional, and helpful.

Thank you Bruce, Frances, Guy and Tom for an absolutely wonderful trip in Newfoundland. From the hospitality of Judi and John, to the great guidance from Guy and Tom and the sheer wonder of experiencing the beauty of the Bay of Exploits from the viewpoint of the kayak, we have only great things to say about our trip. We had the chance to experience a wide variety of paddling conditions and we enjoyed some of the challenges the more vigorous waters presented to us. We are also happy that we were able to learn from each of the situations and gain more confidence in our paddling and kayak maneuvers. This trip is one of the highlights of all of our travels.

"Just wanted to say that I had a fantastic trip at Seascape this past weekend and it really was an amazing way to end off my grad year with my Outdoor Pursuits class from Oromocto High School. Bruce, Frank and Katinka were so kind and helpful when it came to keeping us warm and comfortable not to mention safe despite the rain. I can't describe the wonderful time I had but can only say that I will be back for some more. Thanks guys."

Bruce has a unique way of conjuring the true Spirit of a place, bringing local folk and the environment together in a intimate dance that warmly invites the traveller into an experience that will resonate for a lifetime. From a practical standpoint, it is obvious that Bruce pays a great deal of attention to the details of a trip. Bruce manages experiences with a focus on safety and risk management, which appears to come with an ease gained from years of traveling and living in Costa Rica.

We first paddled with Bruce (Seascape) a few years ago in the Bay of Fundy / New Brunswick and made an instant connection. We trust Bruce and share the same philosophies on sustainable travel, safety, risk, fun and adventure. We knew that a trip with Bruce would be an experience that would be unique and would encompass people, culture and a love and respect for the natural environment. We experienced all of these things and so much more!

Over the years my family has traveled with Bruce and Seascape from whales to icebergs to crocodiles. The one constant has been Bruce's uncanny ability to generate local involvement year-after-year, including local people as an integral part of the Seascape family, with them being of as much importance to the trip experience as anything physical or visual. Bruce and Seascape's ability to modify trips on the go, melding them to clients' skill, comfort level and interests has also provided us with vastly different trips within the same geographical area. We are usually one of the first groups to explore new areas with Seascape and look forward anxiously to the next opportunity.

Having never set foot in a kayak before, I was prepared for a pleasant adventure and returned to Tambor Tropical's sandy beach refreshed (even though it was the beginning of the day) and genuinely connected with the beauty of the bay. The bay's resident pelicans are a joy as they dive for fish, yet I had never observed them from the water while they remained perched in the trees lining the bay. We had clear water so I could view both the swarms of young fish and local Costa Ricans fishing in water up to their waists. In his gentle manner, Bruce provided pertinent technical information about the birds, fish and monkeys (including Tanya the spider monkey who resides within the Curu Wildlife Reserve) that made memories of the trip more meaningful.
