Update: Exploratory Trip – Osa Peninsula, Costa RicaOctober 25th, 2013

* * * OSA PENINSULA* * *

We engaged on an exploratory paddle to the Osa Peninsula on the southern Pacific coast with the intent on offering a trip to this special place. Since then we have offered this trip several times and a it has proven to be an exceptional paddling and wildlife experience.

If you are unfamiliar with the area, National Geographic ranked the Osa Peninsula as “one of the most biologically intense places on earth”, and Jacques Cousteau called its magnificent Golfo Dulce (sweet gulf) the most pristine of the world’s four tropical fjords…

If you’ve dreamed of a sea kayaking and trekking experience in one of the world’s most remarkable places then this could be the adventure you’ve been longing for! Contact Bruce for details.

Bay of Fundy paddle with Seascape Kayak ToursJuly 25th, 2013

This is THE not to be missed tour, for experienced and novice paddlers alike.  We spent the day paddling around the islands just off Deer Island, viewing the ever changing panorama, minke whales, bald eagles, harbor porpoises, and grey seals.  Our guides soon became friends as they taught us about the salmon farms, lobster pounds (live storage), and fishing weirs still used today since being developed by the native Indians.  They took us to a quiet cove and served up a great lunch of smoke salmon (not lox), cheese, apples, humus, etc. I want to emphasize that experienced paddlers need to be introduced to Fundy paddling with a guide because the tidal currents are like nowhere else, and the islands that had been your reference at low tide will disappear at high tide.  Safety is a top priority for the Seascape team.  We highly recommend Seascape. – Richard & Lisa Timm, Cornwall, New York

Wow… A Kayak – Camping Trip with Seascape Kayak ToursSeptember 16th, 2012

Hi Bruce,

Thanks so much for the incredible 2 day kayak trip from Deer Island. We were amazed by all the untouched natural beauty we saw. Our kayak trip was a perfect ending to a 10 day vacation starting in St Martins. From hiking along the coast on the Fundy Trail Parkway, to kayaking with seals, whales and porpoises, to camping on a remote beach our visit was amazing. We chose to come to New Brunswick because it is one of the last undeveloped areas along the eastern coast.  We were not disappointed.  You have a piece of paradise in New Brunswick. We plan to tell our friends and family in the United States about the area and to return as soon as we can. Your expertise and knowledge of the area made the experience remarkable. We learned so much about the Bay of Fundy, the people who live and work in the area and about preserving the environment.

Thanks again,

Laurie and Marjie
